Message From The President

Welcome to Mouse River Players, Minot’s very own and oldest community theatre. It’s hard to believe that we began in 1971 and 45 years later we are going stronger than ever – and what a spectacular 2016 – 2017 season we have planned for you!

In 2004 we purchased “The Old Labor Temple” in downtown Minot. Volunteer efforts continue to improve the building and make it a comfortable setting for live theatre presentations and community uses. In 2006, we named the theatre “The Arlene” in honor of longtime arts’ supporter Arlene Saugstad.

Thanks to all of you – volunteers, donors, members, and supporters – we have accumulated a seemingly endless number of stories and memories from the past 45 years, and we look forward to 45 and a lot more years to come!

As President of your Board of Directors, I thank each and every one of you for your past, present and future support of Mouse River Players. Without you and the entire community, there would be no Mouse River Players. We are a proud part of our community and pledge to direct our efforts towards providing you with top-notch live theatre. Remembering that we are community theatre, we would love to see you on stage, back stage, or in any other part you’d like to play in this organization. We are always looking for new friends to be a part of your Mouse River Players.

Your thoughts and suggestions are important to our success. What do you like? What don’t you like? What would you like to see? Please share your thoughts by sending me a message at, call our office at (701) 838-3939 or just stop and talk with any of the fine members of your theater staff or myself and we will gladly take your suggestions.

Remember that great theatre really does live here!
